Immediately

• Ventolin nebules x2

 

• 10 u regular insulin SC*
• 1/2 amp D50 IV*
• *given together at these doses there is usually no significant net change in glucose

 

• Kayexalate 15 g PO QID (slow but start early)

 

• Review PMHx, meds (digoxin?) and recent labs to assess risk of hypercalcemia b/c may also need calcium gluconate
