- snack items/quick energy foods (cliff bars, fruit to go, beef jerky, granola, nuts, pop tarts, etc). Individually wrapped items are best to prevent having to touch the food with your hands.

Medications
- personal prescribed meds
- Cipro 500 mg BID start before you arrive (depends on where, but this was given prophylactically on a trip to Haiti)
- Flagyl 500 mg BID to be started only if you develop diarrhea
- Doxycycline (optional)
- OTC meds: Advil, Tylenol, vitamins, cold/sinus meds, immodium, pepto-bismol
- Sleep aids if needed
- Anti-malarial to be taken daily as prescribed
Vaccines
- Dependent on destination but:
- Hep A/Hep B
- Typhoid
- Tetanus booster
- Dukoral (optional)
