The CUDIT-R is a self-administered screening tool for CUD. It is composed of eight questions scored from 0–4 based on frequency of usage (0=never, 1=less than monthly, 2=monthly, 3=weekly, 4=daily or almost daily). Maximum score of 24.
Score | Interpretation |
≥ 8 | Hazardous cannabis use |
≥ 12 | Positive screen. Possible cannabis use disorder. |
Individuals who score a 12 or higher on the CUDIT-R should be considered for formal diagnosis (DSM-5).
