If high clinical suspicion, obtain x-rays, CBC, CRP, blood cultures and discuss with ortho to ascertain need for bone bx.

If not systemically unwell, oral antibiotics are usually good enough until seen by ortho. E.g.

• Cephalexin 500 mg po qid
  • AND
• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg po q12h
