Etiologies
     Infiltrative diseases
          Sarcoidosis (non-reversible, tx w/steroids)
          Amyloidosis
          Scleroderma (non-reversible, tx w/steroids)
     Storage diseases
          Hemochromotosis (reversible!)
     Endomyocardial fibrosis
     Idiopathic
Sx
     Diastolic dysfunction
     Signs of right-sided heart failure
          Prominent JVD
          Bilateral ankle edema
          Tender hepatomegaly
     Signs of left-sided heart failure can be seen
          Bibasilar rales
          Pleural effusion
     Left ventricular volume is normal
     Symmetric thickening of the ventricle helps to differentiate restrictive from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in which the interventriclar septum is thickest
