Acetaminophen
- 10-15 mg/kg/dose every 4 to 6 hours as needed; maximum daily dose: 75 mg/kg/day not to exceed 4 g daily
- or for children 6 to 11 years: 325 mg every 4 to 6 hours; maximum daily dose: 1625 mg
Ibuprofen
- 4 to 10 mg/kg/dose every 6 to 8 hours
- maximum single dose: 400 mg
- maximum daily dose: 40 mg/kg/day
