Champix (Varenicline)
- 2-week Starter Pack
- Days 1-3: 0.5 mg PO daily
- Days 4-7: 0.5 mg PO BID
- Days 8-14: 1 mg PO BID
- 4-week Continuation Pack(s)
- Weeks 3-12: 1 mg PO BID
- Quit date should be 1 week to 35 days after starting treatment
Bupropion (Zyban)
- Days 1-3: 150 mg PO daily
- Day 4 through Week 12: 150 mg PO BID (with at least 8 hours between doses)
- Quit date should be 1-2 weeks after starting treatment
- If not quit by seventh week consider treatment discontinuation
